The Storyteller is a creative template for Google Ad Manager (GAM) that turns a series of images into an interactive, social-style story ad. It displays up to five slides that automatically advance with progress bars at the top of the creative, creating a familiar story experience for users.
Users can interact with the story naturally by tapping or clicking the left and right areas of the creative to move between slides. Pressing and holding pauses the story, while releasing continues playback. Each slide can have its own click URL and call-to-action button, making the format suitable for campaigns featuring multiple products, offers, destinations, or different parts of the same story.
The Storyteller includes several customization options for adapting the format to a campaign. You can set the duration of each slide, enable or disable looping, choose between slide and fade transitions, customize the progress bars and background, add rounded corners, and style the call-to-action buttons. The creative is responsive and can also be limited to a maximum width when required.
Supported formats: all image formats (JPG, PNG, GIF).
This template works with any Google Ad Manager version, including the free version. It can be served via size-defined ad units only.
