Overview
Product description and implementation details.
The Converger is a creative template for Google Ad Manager (GAM), formerly known as DoubleClick for Publishers (DFP). It features a full-screen layer with a side door closing effect, coupled with a base ad that remains visible in the targeted ad unit after the layer closes. The template splits the layer of creative into two equal parts, each sliding from the edges to the middle of the browser, creating a complete, unified creative with a sliding door effect.
Features:
- Horizontal and vertical directions for the sliding doors.
- Multiple sliding door animation effects including bounce and linear.
- Various layer image sizing methods: actual (using the provided size), fit (fits within the viewport), and cover (covers the entire viewport).
- The base ad supports all formats, including images (direct upload in GAM), HTML creatives, and third-party tags.
- Customizable speed for the sliding doors animation.
- Option for delayed appearance of the layer (sliding doors).
- Flexibility to use different click URLs for the layer and the base ad, allowing for precise targeting and tracking.
- Compatibility with 3rd-party tracking URLs and tags, ensuring seamless integration with analytics tools.
The Converger template supports all image formats for the layer/sliding doors and also accommodates hosted HTML creatives, as well as HTML (JavaScript) code or tags for the base ad. Supports serving via out-of-page and size-defined ad units.
Compatible with all versions of Google Ad Manager, including the free version.
